We are delighted to welcome our new Clinical Pharmacists, appointed as part of the national pilot to increase the number of clinical pharmacists working within general practice.
Our new clinical pharmacists join us from a range of settings including hospital and community pharmacy and medicines management. Some have already started and others will join us in the next couple of months.
Following induction, they will soon be allocated to the GP practices they will be working with and then getting to know the staff and practice systems.
It is anticipated that the new roles will help improve access to primary care and demonstrate the contribution that clinical pharmacists can make to general practice.
