Warrington Health Plus’ Children's Ambulatory Service is continuing to develop in Central North cluster.
Jo Robertson, Advanced Paediatric Nurse Practitioner, is seeing children with acute non-urgent conditions from practices across the cluster.
Referrals to the Children’s Ambulatory Service have continued to increase since the pilot began in October 2015. Early feedback from this service shows that parents' and carers' reactions to the service has been positive and that they particularly like having the opportunity to be seen by a Nurse who is a specialist in this field.
In order to get an appointment with Jo, parents or carers in the Central North cluster should first call their GP practice. The practice staff will then assess the child's symptoms over the phone and, if found suitable, they will offer a same day appointment with Jo at a local practice.
Warrington Health Plus are proud of Jo and her achievements with this service. We are committed to providing a better patient experience and will continue to evaluate the service.
