Congratulations to Bridgewater Community Neuroscience Team!
Warrington Health Plus would like to say a big congratulations to Bridgewater's Community Neurosciences team on being shortlisted for Best Community Research Contribution award at the prestigious NIHR Greater Manchester Clinical Research Awards 2015.
The Community Neurosciences team are specialist NHS health professionals who support people affected by Stroke, Acquired Brain Injuries and other neurological conditions. They offer Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Specialist Nursing and Neuropsychology services in the community including people’s homes.
The team were shortlisted for successfully recruiting Stroke patients in Wa
rrington to participate in two innovative research projects funded by the National Institue of Health Research (NIHR) and led by Chief Investigator Prof Sarah Tyson. The research focused on the rehabilitation approaches post Stroke, and the team made a positive contribution to enhancing evidenced based practice whilst maintaining their busy clinical work.
