Central East Warrington Gets New Cardiology Service!
A new service for the Central East cluster has been launched from Holes Lane surgery in Woolston.
Warrington Community Cardiology Service (WCCS) is a new service which will offer patients with suspected heart failure the opportunity to be examined more quickly in a community setting by a specialised GP.
Dr Quincy Chuka, Cardiology Speacialised GP at Holes Lane Surgery, is leading this service at a dedicated clinic each week on a Wednesday. He is working closely with consultants at Warrington & Halton Hospital Trust in order to pilot a better model of care for heart failure patients.
Patients referred to WCCS can have their echocardiogram examination, follow up appointments and discuss results and options for managing their condition completed by Dr Chuka and the Heart Failure Nurse.
We will be checking in with the WCCS team regularly to bring you updates. However, if you would like to know more about Heart Failure and how to manage the symptoms or the Warrington Community Cardiology Service then please click the links.
